We were contacted by a private individual who had drawn a sketch of the floor plan on paper and now wanted to turn it into a digital floor plan. The client is planning to build a house for himself and now wants to determine the initial location and size of the rooms. The rooms and their sizes can be illustrated on paper as a sketch, but since it is difficult to draw a correct floor plan with the correct wall thicknesses by hand with a pen, it must still be converted into a digital floor plan. In this case, there are the internal dimensions of the rooms as a drawing on paper and the dimensions of the external walls (Aeroc 500mm and internal walls 66mm) as additional information.
Preliminary floor plan
When Ruut24 delivered the initial digital floor plan, the client saw exactly how his future house would look in this form. The floor plan also shows the real area of the rooms, which gives a better indication of the size of the room. In this situation, the client saw that some rooms would be bigger and some smaller, and we also moved some doorways compared to the original hand-made sketch.
Floor plan in total 3 versions
As a final result, we delivered a total of 3 different versions of the floor plan drawings with different external wall dimensions: 500mm, 375mm and 253mm. In addition, also an AutoCAD dwg floor plan drawing, with which we or a third party can make additions in the future - for example, draw additional electrical drawings or make material calculations.
