We are pleased to announce that Ruut24 has successfully completed its first order for the Danish market! This time, the task was to digitize a floor plan from a PDF , which initially seemed quite complicated, as the PDF drawing sent lacked exact dimensions. Fortunately, we had one important clue – the scale of the drawing was marked 1:100. This was enough to create an accurate and high-quality digital floor plan in AutoCAD software.

How did we create an accurate AutoCAD drawing from a PDF?
The process consisted of the following steps:
Step 1 - Edit and restore PDF drawing in AutoCAD
We started with an old PDF drawing that needed some serious editing. AutoCAD allows us to create the drawing to the exact scale, which in this case was 1:100. We edited the drawing in detail, ensuring clear contours and accurate dimensions.
Step 2 – Adding room names and areas
To improve the customer's convenience and the informativeness of the drawing, we added names to all rooms and calculated the exact areas. In this way, digitizing the floor plan from PDF significantly increases the use value of the plan, for example in real estate sales advertisements and renovation projects.
Step 3 – Adding precise dimensions according to the scale drawing
The lengths of all walls were precisely determined and marked according to the scale on the PDF drawing. This makes the digital floor plan easy to read and also useful for planning construction and renovation work.
